Punch Strength Machine (Snapperzaff v1.1)

Overview
The Punch Strength Machine (Version 1.1) exists exclusively inside Mr. Satan’s martial arts school. Outwardly, it appears identical to a standard tournament punching tester, but internally it is an entirely different device. After the original unit broke, Snapperzaff secretly repaired and completely rebuilt it, hiding advanced technology within the unchanged outer shell. This upgraded version can measure both physical strikes and full-power Ki or energy attacks without ever sustaining damage.

Historical / Canon Context
In official Dragon Ball canon, a public punching machine appears only much later during the Buu Saga. Within the Snapperzaff project timeline, a standard version already existed several weeks before the Cell Games. Just a few days prior to the event, the original unit malfunctioned. Snapperzaff repaired it covertly, sealed its core, and integrated experimental sensors and energy converters, deploying the modified Version 1.1 used throughout this story.

Calibration (Cell Games Era)
During recalibration, Hercule (Mr. Satan) achieved 137 points on the display, officially corresponding to a Power Level of 35. This ratio serves as the baseline for all human-scale readings of the era.

Measurement Principles
Punch Score (pts) represents the raw impulse measured by the device’s main sensors.
Power Level (PL) is the converted strength value based on Scouter-equivalent calibration, calculated directly from the Punch Score.

A concealed side-control module connected to Snapperzaff’s diagnostic computer validates every reading. It detects the presence of Ki, mechanical impulse, or both, and recalculates the Power Level in real time using adaptive scaling.

Unified Measurement Pipeline
Version 1.1 employs a single adaptive system capable of interpreting both impact force and emitted energy.

Impact detection
High-resolution sensors capture the waveform of a physical blow, generating the Punch Score directly from its characteristics.
For human-tier impacts, the approximate relation holds: PL ≈ 0.255 × Punch Score.

Energy absorption and conversion
When a directed Ki or energy attack—such as a Kamehameha—is fired at the unit, it activates an external coupling field that absorbs the incoming energy into internal buffers. The system converts the absorbed energy into an equivalent impulse and processes it through the same scoring logic. The machine can even sense approaching energy fields in advance and pre-stabilizes its barrier to neutralize excess power before impact.
All absorbed energy is dissipated harmlessly inside the device—no explosion, shockwave, or collateral effects occur.

Limits and Indestructibility
The entire chassis and core are permanently sealed and can only be accessed by Snapperzaff. The internal systems are self-protecting, automatically adjusting to prevent damage or overload. Even the strongest attacks, including a full-power strike or Destruction Energy blast from Lord Beerus, could be absorbed, measured, and safely nullified without harm. Public readouts are limited for legibility and safety, while the internal logs always record the true uncapped data.

Automatic Method Selection
The machine automatically determines whether to measure mechanical impulse or energy output by analyzing impact morphology, spectral energy patterns, and field telemetry. Manual overrides are not available on the public interface.

Display and Logging
The display shows both the Punch Score and the corresponding Power Level, rounded to the nearest whole number.
Internally, the system logs precise decimal results, waveform data, energy telemetry, chosen method, and a cryptographically signed record including timestamp and venue.
All exported logs are verifiable and protected against modification.

Notable Readings (Project Canonical)
Hercule (Mr. Satan): 137 pts → PL 35

Operational Notes and Anti-Cheat
The device detects and rejects invalid hits such as preload strikes, rebound attempts, or shielded impacts.
Energy-absorption mode verifies the integrity of incoming spectral data to prevent manipulation or falsified readings.
All log exports are cryptographically signed to maintain cross-venue consistency.

Internal Design and Secrecy
The construction of the v1.1 unit is beyond conventional understanding. Its inner workings remain a mystery even to Capsule Corp engineers, and no analysis has been able to replicate its technology. Only Snapperzaff fully understands its principles and safety protocols.

Legend (Abbreviations)
Punch Score (pts) – the visible score shown on the public display.
Power Level (PL) – derived Scouter-equivalent value used for comparison across eras.
IMP (Impulse Profile) – waveform data of the detected strike or absorbed energy.
LOG (Event Record) – digitally signed internal record containing time, method, and calculated results.
CORE – sealed, self-protecting main module accessible only to Snapperzaff.

Reference data and comparative Power Levels are based on information from official Dragon Ball materials and reputable fandom wikis, aligned with the Snapperzaff project’s narrative framework.

Canonical Status
These specifications, readings, and behaviors are canonical for the Snapperzaff project’s Cell Games era. In official canon, the machine becomes publicly known later during the Buu Saga, whereas this project establishes its earlier existence as a covert, upgraded version secretly created and deployed by Snapperzaff shortly before the Cell Games.
